Dematerialization supporting reorganization: an experiment on a large scale Speaker: Bernard PAVIOT from NEKHO-DEXTER, Senior Consultant & Associate, is a senior consultant in DMS, Workflow, KM, and ERP. He has a long experience of 20. Many companies have recourse to the dematerialization of the mail entering in order to free themselves from the constraints related to the treatment of paper and to thus facilitate the recasting of their organization. CETELEM which we accompanied in this process has just implemented the outsourcing of its dematerialization of the entering mail. Today the customer's mail which is dematerialized represents more than 10 million annual letters, a routing towards more than 15 sites and some 150 points of deposit of digitized mail. We propose, through the example of this European leader in the field of the credit, “to peel” this process of dematerialization and to show the significant points allowing to achieve the budgetary and the R.O.I. goals.

Hypercompression of scanned documents Speaker: Bertrand Fontaine, Sales Director I.R.I.S. Products and Technologies Bertrand will describe and demonstrate how coloured documents can be scanned, OCRed and stored in a portable document at a fraction of traditional compression techniques. And yes, the result is full text searchable and can be read by a good old Adobe PDF Reader. See it demonstrated live!

The management of mobile accounts for the Belgian Ministry of Finance Speaker: Bernard Geubelle is Managing Director at Infotechnique, an international company specialized in dematerialization and outsourcing of document-related processes. Until February 2003, these accounts were maintained on paper, representing 25 million A4 pages scattered between 212 offices, and representing 6.2km of shelves. The presentation will introduce the key business objectives of the project; highlight the major technical and organisational challenges Infotechnique had to face such as complex logistics and high level of security and confidentiality; and describe the innovative solutions Infotechnique has implemented to deliver this challenging project in less than a year.
